This last park session, we got 17 people there, with LOTS of great fighting, and battlegamy goodness. An injury as my Page was struck rather hard by GUY WITH LARGE SHIELD. They say bad things happen when you go out to injure people. Eh, we'll see though, right? Wife still has vertigo, so she couldn't play in the battlegamy goodness, but she wants to do Archer. And here I thought "GREAT! ANOTHER FUCKING ALUCARD!" DAMNIT! But it made me laugh.
Overall, a great day to play Amtgard. Though we lose one of our own due to Military shit, we gain a few extra back.

let me tell you about GUY WITH LARGE SHIELD
GUY WITH LARGE SHIELD is usually an SCA reject. GUY WITH LARGE SHIELD likes charging at people in full plate and/or chainmail will run them over like a charging bull. He may not be able to hit peeps with his sword, but GUY WITH LARGE SHIELD has (as described...) a LARGE SHIELD and he is not afraid to use it. He is also not afraid to say (after running said noob down):"How do you like me NOW sluffer? Maybe next time you will take all those shots I thought about throwing."
GUY WITH LARGE SHIELD is a menace Martin. Do not trust him. And if you see GUY WITH LARGE SHIELD running at you... firmly place your combat boot in the middle of his shield.
